The Bare Kind story
- 2018
Lucy founds Bare Kind, starting with reusable straws and recycled tote bags.
- 2019
Turtle socks launch, with 10% of profits donated to help save turtles.
- 2020
The range grows to 15 sock designs and the impact starts to add up.
- 2021
887 acres of rainforest protected, 209 boxes of fish for penguins and 12 giraffes adopted.
- 2022
28 new socks, and Bare Kind is now stocked in 500+ stores worldwide.
- 2023
Bare Kind becomes a certified B Corp and launches its first Christmas socks.
- 2024
The biggest year yet, with new animals like octopus, dolphins and capybara.
- 2025
The Sponsor a Sock project launches, working even closer with charities.
- 2026
Bare Kind enters India! Bamboo animal socks land at barekind.co.in, with 10% of profits still going to wildlife.

How are the impact stats worked out?
Each stat is verified with the charity partner as an example of what the donation could pay for on the ground. Donations are shared between charities based on how many socks were sold for each animal, so you're voting with your feet!
How are orders packaged?
Bare Kind India uses plastic-free, recyclable packaging. Individual pairs are protected in reusable fabric DustBags or compostable packaging.
